Agape was a Greek Goddess of Love and the concept of her type of love has been used frequently to explain the type of love that God has for us and that we have for God. Today I am bringing Agape into a broader context of feeling connection, compassion and kindness to everyone who crosses our path. It is a tough time of year (especially in the cold, dark winter months for the Northern Hemisphere!) and when we go inside ourselves with our struggles we are isolating ourselves from the connections that will nurture and support us. When we get caught up in our own narratives we feel as though we are the only ones feeling like this - but we are a collective consciousness, we are not singular! That is a trick of the ego! In finding connection, in extending kindness and compassion with others we feel more whole within ourselves. So, the idea of Agape is one that is fundamental to our own sense of peace and happiness.

Much love
