This week’s guest was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 6th grade, and ran into chronic pain in just a year later when she was rushed to the emergency room with severe chest pains, and left with a diagnosis of costochondritis and degenerative disc. She was also diagnosed with OCD, anxiety, depression, insomnia, Narcolepsy, and a myriad of digestive issues such as gastroparesis, IBS, IBD, slow transit colon, Celiac and diverticulitis. She started regular Chiropractic treatments to address scoliosis and chronic pain, and multiple rounds of physical therapy, but symptoms continued to worsen. Shortly after graduating high school, she ran into chronic adrenal fatigue, crippling anxiety, and pain so bad that she was bed-bound. She began to uncover the root of her issues, working with multiple functional medicine doctors, and embarked on a more strict/ personalized version of the ketogenic diet. She was diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease, ulcerative colitis, Addisons, Hashimotos hypothyroid, CREST scleroderma, and a central nervous system disorder called Central Sensitization Syndrome. With Keto, various supplements, and support she was able to get off of Adderal, Clonazepam, and Ambien after being dependent on them for 13 years. She gained energy and focus, reversed Hashimotos, and her cystic acne also cleared completely. After losing a severe amount of weight, she was diagnosed with difficule (C-Diff). She was resistant to all of the antibiotics, had 3 fecal transplants, and was told that she should consider removing her colon, and that she needed a feeding tube. Instead of doing that, she gained back 30 healthy pounds of mostly muscle, and overcame almost all of her autoimmune issues. She has broken up deep layers of scar tissue that were taking over her body and limiting mobility. Her mood has never been more stable, and she is mentally resilient. No more swollen ankles or strange skin rashes/ hives. Her energy is steady and dependable, and she is sleeping the best she has in her entire life. With over 15 years of experience with a Paleo and Ketogenic lifestyles (2 years Carnivore), extensive knowledge on supplements, and biohacking, she is currently broadening her knowledge on her pursuit of certifications through the Health Coach Institute. She is passionate about people, cooking, holistic nutrition, functional medicine, music, regenerative agriculture, freedom, and her Faith. She is grateful for what God has brought her through, and now she is helping others overcome their issues as well.
