So, the average person is still under this delusion that food should be someone else's responsibility until they're actually ready to eat it. "The magical, marvellous thing about food on our plate is the sustenance we absorb, has a story to tell, it has a journey, and leaves a footprint. It leaves a legacy…. to eat with reckless abandon, without conscience and without knowledge, well folks, this ain't normal." And that quote is from Joel Salatin's book, "Folks, This Ain't Normal."

My guest today is Joel Salatin. In this conversation, we chat about the changes to farming and what this means for the environment of not only the land but our bodies. We explore how the average person is still under this delusion that food should be someone else's responsibility until they're actually ready to eat it. And look at the real nutritional, potentially emotional and physical differences between grass-fed and finished, and grain-fed meat. As Joel says, "If you are what you eat, you also are what you eat, eats."
