Have you ever considered that your overall lack of food intake could be sabotaging your attempts at choosing the apple over the cupcake (not that there's anything wrong with the cupcake!)?

Listen in as I talk about common scenarios that can be traced back to not getting enough food to eat. You are not inherently wired to only want sugar, but it can feel that way when we are a walking around in a constant state of hunger.

Just like in Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs discussed in a previous episode, we must be getting enough to eat before expecting our body to crave a more nutritionally diverse diet.
