Here we go with yet another study that proves it’s time to put down the cigarettes and alcohol. Not only do they make you look old, they are aging you rapidly on the inside. This is Judy Gaman and this is your Stay Young Medical Minute. Did you hear me carefully – that includes second hand smoke. Researchers were able to measure the epigenetic changes to DNA when exposed to these toxins. Next time you are tempted, take a look at that bad choice and ask yourself “Is this really worth giving up my youth? Is it really worth giving up my life?” You can break those bad habits, but you must take charge and make it a choice.
