Vitamin D-3 is known to help with bone health, but did you know that it can also aid in cardiovascular health? This is Judy Gaman and this is your Stay Young Medical Minute. A new study from scientists at Ohio University found that Vitamin D-3 can aid in heart health. The research showed that Vitamin D-3 is absorbed in the cells lining your organs. This lining plays a key role in regulating blood pressure, tumor growth, and even blood sugar. Vitamin D-3 restores and protects this lining, helping to reverse heart damage. Although, Vitamin D-3 can’t reverse a heart attack, it can help prevent one. It’s important to have your Vitamin D levels checked when you visit the doctor and if low, obtain proper supplementation. This tip on heart health is brought to you by the Stay Young Vitamin line, a pharmaceutical grade supplement line that specializes in supplements that are gluten free, dairy free, and non-GMO.
