Do you have a nagging cough from allergies or lingering after a cold? This is Judy Gaman and this is your Stay Young Medical Minute. A nagging cough can be so annoying and disruptive. Over the counter cough syrups are filled with artificial colors and flavors and can also have nasty side effects. Getting natural relief from a cough can be easier than you think. First and foremost think about using things that have nutrients that help you heal, as well as curb the cough. First, take a lemon, cut it in half and then suck the juice out. High in vitamin C, lemons have long been used to help. If you can’t take the lemon plain, you can add a little sugar to it. Then steep some fresh thyme in hot water for about 5-10 minutes. The flavonoids in thyme water will help break up the mucus while also relaxing the throat muscles, finally giving you relief from that terrible tickle that leads to those coughing fits. There is so much to learn about healthy living. That’s why you should visit Stay Young America.com where you can find more helpful tips. That’s Stay Young America.com
